Mfon Blessing Akpan

Mfon Blessing Akpan is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of extensive experience in the Nigerian insurance industry. She holds a first degree in Business Administration from Lagos State University and a second degree in Cost Management from Ladoke Akintola University. Additionally, Mfon is an Associate member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, and she holds a Diploma in Insurance from the West Africa Insurance Institute in The Gambia. This solid educational foundation has provided her with deep insights into both the business and financial facets essential to the insurance sector.

Throughout her career, Mfon has demonstrated versatility and expertise across multiple domains including operations, human resources, secretarial services, corporate marketing, and business development. She has played pivotal roles in driving growth and operational success at notable organizations such as Chellarams PLC, Metropolitan Bank Limited (now UBA PLC), Niger Insurance PLC, Linkage Assurance PLC, Heirs General Limited, African Alliance Insurance PLC, and Zenith Insurance Company Limited. Her broad experience in both operational and managerial capacities has equipped her with the ability to effectively navigate the complex and evolving insurance landscape.

Currently, Mfon serves as the Head of Business Development for Lagos and the Western region at Heirs Insurance Brokers Limited. She is an active member of the Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA), where she served as Secretary General from 2021 to 2022. Known for her dedication and leadership, Mfon balances her professional achievements with a fulfilling family life as a happily married woman with children.
