Baby Favour Testimony by Mother: Augustina Emefiele

I give God all the glory for the life of my daughter Favour. Like every pregnant woman will be expecting to put to birth at nine months, same way I was expectant to have my baby at nine months, but the baby came at seven months, and she was a preterm baby. When my husband saw my condition and that of the baby, he called Dr. Joyce Ojemudia and explained to her the situation of things, and she responded immediately and came to the hospital with her husband Mr. Azuka Ojemudia.
On their arrival, they were told that the baby was kept on a hard table without oxygen, clothes or proper care for more than an hour. She and my husband asked the nurse on duty why the baby was not placed in incubator since the baby was preterm hence there was need to put her in an incubator. The nurse and doctor on duty responded that there were no more available incubators, all incubators were occupied with babies. They were reluctant to try to save the baby’s life and concluded that such babies do not survive. They were only making moves to save my life because I bled for two weeks before the baby was finally born.
We sought an alternative hospital where the baby can be incubated through the help of some of our church members, we were able to secure a private hospital somewhere at Ikeja. Getting an ambulance to take the baby to the private hospital was another issue because the government hospital said it was against their policy to use an ambulance from government hospitals to take patients to private hospitals. At that point my husband was angry and called the Medical Director and reported the situation to him and made him understand the urgency of making the ambulance available to save the life of the baby, also, made him realize that it was a case of negligence. The MD apologized on behalf of the nurses and doctors and gave instructions for the ambulance to be released for the baby to be taken to the private hospital.
At that point, Dr. Joyce Ojemudia took charge of the situation and followed the baby and ambulance to the private hospital while I was still admitted at the government hospital. In my absence from the private hospital, she took charge and everything the hospital needed to save the life of the baby was made available by her. She footed the bill, family and church had prayer of intercessions and followed up on the baby till she was brought home complete and whole after a month and two weeks. To the glory of God our princess is 9 years old full beautiful and grace.

Dr. Joyce Ojemedia realized that a lot of babies’ lives could be saved if there are enough incubators, so she denoted incubator to that same government hospital through Joyce Ojemudia Foundation Nigeria Company.
I want to encourage intending mothers to trust God and never give up on their situation because with God all things are possible. Even when the medical personnel gave up and abandoned the baby concluding that such babies do not survive, God was in charge and said this baby will live. I give glory to God for his mercies toward my baby and me, I also use this opportunity to thank Dr Joyce Ojemudia foundation for their intervention. God will continue to bless them financially for the foundation to be able to save more lives and achieve their corporate objectives.
